FortyFive

Celebrating her 45th birthday with a bold artistic statement, Scottish singer-songwriter Wave Of The Flood, is marking a milestone year with a unique project: releasing of one single every month for a full year, beginning with her hauntingly intimate debut "All Ends Will Come", that launched on Friday, 13 June.

Paying tribute to the tradition of the 45rpm vinyl single, this year-long release cycle is a nod to both her own musical influences and the enduring power of the standalone song. Each release will offer a carefully crafted moment in time—an individual story, rich in emotional depth and exquisitely produced.

Produced by contemporary folk legend Kris Drever, and recorded at the acclaimed Slate Room Studio by Garry Boyle, the upcoming album promises lush production anchored in raw lyrical honesty and intimate instrumentation. “All Ends Will Come” is a striking introduction—a meditation on mortality and the fragility of love, led by Strachan’s evocative voice and underscored by Drever’s distinctive guitar and production style.

With strong contributions from John McDonald (double bass) and Cameron Henderson (fiddle), the single lures the listener into a richly layered soundscape that remains rooted in emotional honesty.

Wave Of The Flood’s music promises to resonate with fans of modern folk and singer-songwriter traditions, combining poetic storytelling with a timeless, acoustic aesthetic. Releasing one single each month, the full album will culminate in May 2026.
