About me

It all began with a song. A song about heartbreak, the first of many. And, a few about love, happiness, family, loss, and even some about myths and legends.

Once Lindsay started writing, which was later in life compared to most artists, she found it hard to stop. Hundreds of songs later, and having met lots of incredible musicians and mentors who encouraged her along the way, Wave Of The Flood was finally born.

In April 2025, with support from Creative Scotland, Lindsay recorded her debut album FortyFive at The Slate Room with producer Kris Drever. Released over the course of a year, one song at a time, the album marked the beginning of Wave Of The Flood as a recording artist.

Since releasing FortyFive, she's shared stages with artists including Eddi Reader, Kris Drever, Chris Stoud, John McCusker, and Breabach.

Born and bred in Edinburgh, Lindsay now lives by the sea in North Berwick. Something she can’t believe she didn’t do sooner – it must be the call of her Orcadian ancestors in her blood.

She loves nothing more than staring at the sea, getting in the sea (even on a cold day!), or writing about the sea.

More than anything, Lindsay hopes her songs make people feel seen. The greatest compliment she can receive is hearing someone say, "That song was written about me.”

She's fascinated by the craft of storytelling, whether that's through songs or fiction – being the creative lead of a local songwriting group, and now working on her first novel.

She also adores live music, and along with 3 local friends, set up an events business, Live At The Law, to host amazing gigs in the North Berwick Scout Hall - which is really just another way for Lindsay to hang out with people she’s inspired by.
